Does the Change Log collection method do anything?

It’s a setting in Company Configuration > Modules > General.

I saw this post and apparently it does not. Man I feel stupid. Unless this supposed fix that he mentions ever did come to pass. (That user is no longer active here.)

Change Log

We’ve been using the change log for years, but we were much happier with it in Vantage. Today in E10.1.400.10 we get only the one collection method – DAILY – set in company Config > Modules > All Modules > General. Unfortunately the Daily method creates text entries that are extremely difficult to parse to be of use for our business controls. My rambling story

We started with “daily” (presumably the default) and did that for a few years. Well, that’s not really good enough when you want to search what a single user messed up lately.

So I switched it to “each transaction” a few years back, and I guess I presumed it was better, but I am sure it is definitely not “Each transaction.” It might be the same as daily.

Today I am switching to “Each User” but I guess this is a fool’s errand.
