E9.05.700A - Deployed dashboard does not always refresh

Thanks for the reply Doma.

It’s a bummer to see that this bug might still exist in 700.

I will read the change logs to see if it was addressed in either 700B or 700C

Hi Jo,

We are currently on 9.05.604, i have seen the refresh issue with the compiled dashboards. The run time dashboards work fine without any issues.

I looked into it more deeply and found that the DLL that is created on the compiled dashboards is not working properly, if you exit out of epicor completely and log back in the change in the data is refleting. I believe this is a bug in compiled dashboards.

Thanks,

Hi All,

We are testing out Epicor 9.05.700A (will install 700C soon).

I have a deployed/compiled dashboard that does not seem to refresh all
the time.

The reason it is compiled is that I found it easier to create a
customization that allowed me to iterate through the selected lines on
the grids.

The dashboard's BAQ is designed to only show certain sales order release
lines.

I ran the runtime version and the complied version side by side to
figure out what is happening.

When a create a new order and click refresh on both versions of the
dashboard, the order shows up.

The complied dashboard has a custom button that updates fields on the
selected orders that should make the orders fall off the dashboard on a
refresh.

After clicking the button and refreshing both versions of the dashboard,
the order falls off the runtime version but not the complied version.

In fact, it doesn't seem like the complied version is really doing a
refresh because the time it takes to do the refresh is only a fraction
of the time of the runtime version.

If I create another order, and refresh the complied version, the
dashboard does a full refresh which caused the order that should have
fallen off before to fall off and the new order shows up.

It seems like the complied dashboard is checking to see if there were
changes to the underlying tables in the BAQ and, if not, then it doesn't
refresh and it's not seeing the changes that happen when I click the
custom button.

Very strange.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?
