Easiest way to change partrev effective date in Vantage 8.03

Last thing. If you have Rev C as the latest and Rev A & B are still approved, I would unapproved them unless you are still making that rev. This way they don't see the revs that should not be made.
You can always go back and approve a rev if you are going to make it for some reason, but once a new rev comes through, you should have a business process that shuts down the old rev.

Why not unapproved the revision, change the effective date and approve the revision?

Vantage,

Somehow one of our engineers has gotten our rev control effective date out of whack. We have revision a,b,c on a part and C is the latest revision BUT Rev A has a later effective date so some of our reports are showing A as the current revision. Is there an easy way to fix this (meaning make Rev C the newest effective date) without having to issue a new REV (which involves changing drawings and other issues). I "could" change the database table (PartRev) but it scares me to modify table data unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. Thanks...
