I can’t install EDD because of this error:
“ERROR: Please enable the protocols for the instance from SQL Server Configuration Manager.
Protocols for SQL instance is not enabled
Failed to deploy Epicor Data Discovery”
This has actually confused me because the protocols are actually all enabled as you can see here:
Does anyone have any clue on what to do here?
According to the Epicor Data Discovery (EDD) Troubleshooting Guide (KB0039204), it’s supposed to be the protocols under SQL Server Network Configuration
Why is the 32bit version the only version that appears for me?
Is it something with the installation? If so, could you point it out for me?
I really struggle to understand why you would need named pipes installed. For the installer to work, but sadly it does a check for Named Pipes and TCP/IP. So no installing EDD database on SQL Linux (unsupported of course, but)
