We are attempting to upgrade from 10.0.700.4 to 10.2.500.8. The upgrade completed fine and everything was working until last week. We can no longer log in as MANAGER.
I get two login Prompts (why?):
And then it fails with:
Other users are fine.
Is there anything in server log/ event viewer?
Do you get that (double login request) when launching the client on the App server?
Any other users have Security Manager rights, and can double check the settings of the manager account?
Just one App setup for the database in question? Try adding a new app in EAC (pointing to the same DB), and see if you get the same on that app.
We were getting this when we upgraded to 10.2.500.7. The issue seemed to be with the Config file for the specific local environment. For the parameter we got this second login screen when we had the Fully Qualified Domain Name of our server. Once I shortened to just server name only I stopped getting the second login screen
Sounds like a bug in 10.2.500.7. Anyone report this to Epicor?
I had a ticket in with Epicor. We went through about an hour webex and didn’t find anything. I reported my findings to them after I fixed it. I don’t know what they did with that information after that
We are on 10.2.500.7 and we do not have the double login.
We are using single sign on.

Sounds like a Trust glitch. Like the client computer trusts \\Appserver, but doesn’t trust \\Appserver.AcemInc.com
And the second login is the program validating access to the untrusted resource.
FTR - I’m not a domain admin guy, so I’m sure I’m not using the word “trust” properly. At least not in the sense of trusted networks.
I am not either, I was working with our infrastructure team and we added to the trusted area with no success.
I don’t have any good explanation or reason as to why this worked. I just know I was out of ideas, and working with Epicor we could not find anything. We were getting ready for CRP and this was one of those tweaks that I tried and ended up working for us.
Happens in classic. Switch to modern or active and you wont get the propt.
