Epicor 9 BAQ Blank Title 82349

Yes, it can be a little testy....Make sure you look at your joins at the bottom, that your Parent Table is correct and your Child Table is correct, Highlight the join...and look below at the actual relationships and if you need a Left Outer Join; click that accordingly. And yes, a left to right arrow is not a Parent to Child as we think of it in Crystal.....Its as if they programmed it backwards when you click on the Child table then draw the line to the Parent as if they are saying it is the Child of the Parent; ugh!

Sometimes when you draw the relationship line it gets out of joint. The solid lines that appear, when you put the tables in the visual view are the out of the box relationships between the datasets.

Anyone see anomalies with the updated BAQ designer in E9? We have a relatively simple one with two tables and when you press Analyze, it says Syntax is ok. But when you press Test, it says:

Business Query Execution error. Please contact your System Administrator.

And can anyone tell me the difference between a dotted line and a solid one on the links between tables?

My impression after trying this, is that the solid lines are joins created
by Epicor when you drag in a table and the dotted lines are joins that
you've created.

I checked in the Epicor ICE tools guide and it doesn't appear to mention
anything about this.
