With a little more work i figured it out. I changes a setting to clear client directry and clear client DNS, ran auto update and it re-installed the client directory and is now working.

Make sure the shortcuts for your clients aren't using the '-skip' option as
that will cause them to skip checking for updates and they won't pull down
the new version from the server. Also, make sure the patch folder on the
server contains the patch files. I've seen issues with it not getting
filled if the patch wasn't run as admin.

Annoying and takes a little time, but this has been my solution.

Go into the EPicor905\client folder.
Highlight all files
Right click and "Send to Compressed (zipped) folder"
Once all zipped, replace the old Epicor905\clientrelease.zip folder with the
new .zip you just created

I also usually check the Epicor905\Custom\Client\Patch folder for any files
and copy them into the client folder before I zip it up.

Just make sure you don't right click on the client folder itself to zip it,
if you do then you will end up with a bad file path when it unzips on the
client, you'll end up with Client\client\mfgsys.exe instead of
client\mfgsys.exe

Where does the patch folder reside? Is there an extra step I may have missed after patching the server to version 700C?

After I patched the server, I could login just fine from the server itself, after that I tried my workstation. I used the "Epicor9Client" Windows Installer Package located in the Epicor\Epicor905 directory. It then appears to grab that "releaseclient.zip" from the same directory and do its work. Not really sure what I may have missed.

Thanks for your help!

That did the trick! Does take a little bit of time to first zip, but after that it seemed to work like a charm!

Thank you!

Â
Has anybody dealt with this issue before?

"Version mismatch beween client(9.05.700) and server (9.05.700C)."

While I have been testing our test patches I have ran into this for each client. I contacted Epicor support and they had me copy the entire client folder from the server down to each client machine. Granted this works, it doesn't seem like the best route to go as it takes quite a while to copy that folder down each time.

Thanks for the help!

Hi All,
I am having a slightly different scenario.
Our test server was updated to 9.05.700b,
I can connect to a workstation, however, the client access on the server is getting the version mismatch error: client mismatch, Client 9.05.700 server 9.05.700b

any ideas what to look for?
