Epicor version 9.05.701

When we first purchased epicor (we went live in April 2014) we had a university database which essentially walked users through each process etc. …(i seem to remember an icon with a figure with a cap/gown at the top of the screen).

This database was overwritten by an old IT employee.

My question is:

  1. Is it possible to get this training university database back?
  2. If so, how do we go about installing it?

I’m pretty sure you have to pay for the education database… I could be wrong though.

Assuming you’re SQL: Chapter 9 (Restore Demonstration Database) in the guide below:

Then you need to install embedded education (Chapter 6 in the guide below)
http://patches.epicor.com/Epicor%209/9.05.700/Epicor905_Supplemental_Install_905702.pdf

That will give you the training database (aka: demonstration database) with sample data, and access to the embedded education course material (assuming you’re licensed for that).
