Epicor9. Need to turn OFF Process MRP on ALL parts with DMT too

We did something similar to help with incorrect MOMs.

I did a mass unapproved of all MOMs that we have not built since 1/1/2016 and as well the effective date of 1/1/2015.  Created dashboards for the Eng Team to display which orders are entered byt unapproved MOMs.

None of our parts in the past were setup for scheduling correctly.  We are breaking down our product lines one by one with their parts and turning back on MRP as we get the parts for the product lines setup correctly.  When we ran MRP as-is (it wasn’t something we normally did), it generated thousands of jobs suggestions and didn’t help anything.  We are trying to take baby steps to get MRP working for us in the future.

You can have users add parts to the MOM and then they will never get processed.

What type of suggestions don’t you want from the system?

Miguel, thanks.   Is there any downside to doing this and ONLY turning it back on for the parts we actually want to process?

When you pull the data from the query, just change the ProcessMRP field.

Company, PartNum, Plant, ProcessMRP.

It will only change what you change.

I have done this before.

We are looking for a quick way to turn OFF “Process MRP” on all our parts and then turn back ON only the parts we wish to use with MRP.  A couple of question:

1.       Can I do this with the “Part Plant” template in the DMT by just putting False in the ProcessMRP field?

2.       Will it change anything else by using this template if the ONLY field I choose to update is the Process MRP field?  I’m concerned something else might change…
