Error Message when editting Engineering BOM or Operations

I'd say they have a problem. We are running 8.00.10b and getting this
same error when entering Labor against any Job which has been modified
through Jpb Entry. The system hangs/crashes while saving data,
eventually this error pops up. The problem is, the Save process can
take up to 10-12 min, if it ever saves, or you go through several
crashes and restarts before it finally produces the error and allows
the refresh. Our complaint has been kicked up to Development as I
understand.....

Is anyone familiar with this error message that pops up each time a

workbench? "Record has been modified by another user and couldn't be
updated. Please press the Refresh button and re-enter your changes"

Once it is refreshed you can then proceed and re-enter the change with
no problem.

Is this a bug in the system? Is there a way to avoid this?
