Finance Question - Change Main Book process without Multi-book license

How do you change the main book with a single book license?

We are down to the wire for go live and have an issue with GL where we had an optional segment before a mandatory segment which is not supposed to happen. In E9 this was fine, but in E10 causes conversion issues as the minimum length changed from 0 to 1. We got a data fix for the segment to have a minimum length of zero and that got us thru the conversion, but we are getting messages during postings.

Dev has accepted the issue and added us to an existing PR, but rather than wait and have COA setup which is not supposed to happen we are wanting to remove the fourth segment which we have never used in 6 years and just use the 3 mandatory segments. Support tells us this is not possible without a multi-book license.

@aidacra. I just heard from our regional consulting manager that we can get a temporary license from our CAM, but he is out until Wednesday and our go live is Saturday. Can support help? The case is CS0001533802.

Great time to test the Wayfinder site on EpicWeb. You should be able to talk to Customer Support (not Technical Support).

Thanks @Mark_Wonsil I found wayfinder, but it doesn’t have ask a question, only predefined questions, so I just wrote a really long comment on the closest one.

If you don’t get quick service there, just email Customer Service @ epicor.com. They’ve been very good to us with license questions/updates.

Good day Greg,

The process has to start with the CAM, but, we will see if there is someone else in that department that can help in the CAMs absence.

Thanks. I have been contacted by customer service and they are working on a trial license to get this done.
