On Friday, it’s EpiUsers Frideas Day! Have you been to the Epicor Ideas Portal recently? If so, are there some ideas you want to encourage other users to vote for? Maybe want to add comments to an existing idea?
I thought I would start of the Frideas! today since nobody else has… I wanted to let you all know that we DO monitor the Frideas! voting. This message is to encourage you not only to vote for things that people post here, but also to look at newly created ideas. There were some good ones created recently, and they still only have ONE VOTE. In theory using this link should get you to all the Recent Kinetic Ideas.
@timshuwy… since you’re here and were involved in the implementation (and I didn’t want to create a whole thread for it)… With Incoterms… I don’t SEE a way to set a company default.
There is for Ship Via (in company config > Orders, for Counter Sales)… but with the newer Incoterms, was that considered?
I know there’s a default on the Customer level… but would be nice if there was a Company (or site) level default. I guess that could be a future “idea”, but I wanted to verify first that I’m just not looking in the right place.
For example, “if we don’t specifically state otherwise (choose something else on an order), incoterm should be ExWorks our facility.”
In the meantime… back to my BPM’s to set my own defaults…
i dont believe that we created a default, and an Epicor Idea would be in order… but like you said, you COULD simply populate all customers with a default you want to use. you could also force teh inco-terms field on the customer record to be required. OR you could make a BPM that auto-populates the order… your choise in how to handle the default.
I would probably go down the customer line, and make it a required field.
it is still in “WIP” waiting for a developer to take it up. We got a slower start on 2026.10x and 2027 due to factors outside of my control. The good news is that it is in “WIP”… WIP is a very small list of items. before something gets into WIP, it goes into “Backlog” and we only keep 20 or less items in the backlog.
