Ultimately I have found that this is the only way to do all security (for all users).
I know you can block a whole folder (say, General Ledger) from general use. But there are still so many ways around it, such as:
- Open With
- Dashboard links (Actions menu)
- Dedicated buttons in MES
- Imported home screen layouts (maybe?)
- Links in the interactive help to open a screen (screenshot below)
Point is, all of those bypass the folder structure anyway.
