I’m sure the answer is no, but is there a way for a user to have hotkeys without being allowed personalization privileges? I have found that users are in LOVE with their hotkeys but when a newer version of a customization is deployed, it can often have unintended and unpredictable consequences when combined with their personalization layer.
If there is a way to be able to turn off Allow Personlization while still allowing hotkeys, that would be ideal
Go into the form in developer mode, personalize (add hot keys) then (Save ) then right click Open Customization mode, make some change. (Save)
This should carry the personalization INTO your customization.
Speaking of Hot keys … I notice that the command Navigation Tool is available.
I thought it referred to the VCR controls in the menubar:
And hoped it would allow a single key stroke to move forward and backward within a record set. But it does not. The fact that there is just the one Command, and not several (like NavTool.FirstRec, NavTool.PrevRec, NavTool.NextRec, etc…) should have clued me in.
So what (and where) is the “Navigation Tool” command used for?
