I have created a Tax Type for Self Assessed Use Tax. I want to apply this to certain lines in Accounts Payable invoice entry. We have a need to be able to select specific lines to add a self use tax to. Can I add this to only the lines I select and not the whole invoice?
Each line on the invoice has a Tax Category so it should not be an issue.
I thought so too. I’m trying to make sure I’m not missing something. When I try to add the Tax Code to the specific line, I receive an Application Error: “Object reference not set to an instance of an object”. And It won’t let me apply it. I can add the same Tax Code to the header with no errors. Am I missing something to allow me to apply it at the line level?
Thanks for the help!
Not that I can think of.
This is the response I received from Epicor.
Is there anyone using “self assessment tax” in 10.2.400?
Then, this error has already been reported in Problem Number PRB0212485 "AP Invoice Entry Unable to add a self-assessment tax at line level due to error “Object reference not set to an instance of an object”
A note from the problem:
“The issue is not a DB specific, and is able to duplicate on training database with the same steps (the collection method is not relevant), you only need to make sure that multi-currency license is NOT enabled.”
This is still being worked by our development department and the “workaround” would be to get the multi-currency license.
If not, then we would need to wait until development gets this fixed, we do not have an ETA though.
Ah, Thanks. I remembered a problem after I sent the message. My only workaround would be to add a line with a self tax class or use the tax in the invoice header.
