Icsala Service Connect (ESC)

HI All,

I am quiet new to this world of Iscala. When i create workflow, it appears to be that i can create simple workflows and not able to try much complex one. My question is that is there any Documentation with example diagram on how to achieve this? I mean how to efficiently work with service connect.
I have seen certain Documents on the Help section where it has been mentioned different nodes and its usage and how to configure the nodes in the workflow. But i would like to have any example workflow to understand it better, Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance
Best Regards

Here is the User Guide that I had in my files… Not sure if there is a newer one on EpicWeb somewhere but this should help.

You’re welcome and best of luck learning Service Connect. I assume you need to support some legacy systems / workflows? The Epicor world has been moving to Automation Studio, but there is still a lot of Service Connect usage so it’s a good skill to have.

One tip the guides might not give you is that if you need to do something rather complicated, you don’t need to handle all the complexity with a giant spider web of SC Workflow widgets… Consider calling Business Object methods in the SC Workflow that will then trigger BPMs or Functions in Epicor to handle most of the complexity.

Thank you. Yes, we do work on iscala for AP automation with other thirt party Purchase and invoice Order system. I have worked on simple workflows, but when it comes to complex one, i feel like i need more practice. Thank you so much for the tip. I have searched on web and there is not much videos or explanations on ESC so far other than videos on the Epicore learning portal. So this community and experienced people like you are much valuable for new learners like me.
