We have an insourcing program that we are looking to bring purchased parts in and manufacture ourselves. We currently track the progress through a BAQ that estimates the runout date based on qoh and open po’s and this info ultimately ends up on an excel workbook for managing the various parts. Is there something built into Epicor that will assist in tracking these types of parts? Info needed would be qoh, open po quantities, estimated runout based on the total available qty (sum of qoh and open po’s divided by 6 month total usage), etc.
After much thought, just having the estimated cost would do the trick and time period the estimated cost is good for (1 yr, 6 months, 90 day, etc). If this could be stored somewhere I could then create a dashboard from BAQ to pull other data and calculations.
