We just recently did this and except for the Progress Explorer tool issue,
everything went fine. I did run across one problem later on, but it had nothing
to do with Windows 2008R2. To make the transition go smoothly, I created a new
Vantage client folder on each workstation with a differnt name then the one for
the old server (I called it ERP803). On Monday, after I switched everything
over to the new server over the weekend, I had everyone log in using the
new vantage Icon for their ERP803 folder. Everything went fine until I decided
they no longer needed the old client803 folder on the workstations. What I
didn't realize is that the custom menu items I added over the years contain the
path to the old folder. It was an easy fix, I just went down though the list of
all menu items and when I found a path I just deleted it and left the DLL file
name.

Yes. We are planning on moving our Vantage 8.03.409c off of Server 2003 to 2008
R2 x64 Standard Edition.
Is there anything I need to watch out for?
