What technical level you are with regards to Epicor.
Was the project lead when we selected and implemented in 2016. There isn’t much of the base product I am not familiar with. Good with BAQ’s, BPM’s, and form customizations. Not a strong programmer but with the right resources (like this site) I can piece together snippets and revise them for our needs.
Anything else you might think is interesting.
Have a great wife and 2 awesome daughters. We like to travel, hike, garden, and raise chickens (for eggs). I have always had the mindset to keep pressing buttons or taking things apart until I fix it or really break it. I apply this to IT, appliances, plumbing, etc… I tend to fix it more often than not.
Can’t stress enough how appreciative I am of this site. Has really helped me and our company grow our usage and efficiency in Epicor. Also, there is just a great group of people here, had a blast meeting() a lot of you at Insights.
Well, it just popped up and I feel obliged

What technical level you are with regards to Epicor
I think I’m probably pretty close to the middle of the pack of people that visit this site. With the right resources I can figure most things out. I will say that some of my other hats prevent me from getting into the weeds of things like I’d like to.
Anything else you might think is interesting:
I’m married, and have a daughter. My wife and I have a goal of visiting all the National Parks, we generally get one or two a year. So far my favorite in the continental U.S. is the Great Smokey Mountains. Haleakala takes the cake for my absolute favorite national park… so far.

Epicor Version
11.1.200.0 Kinetic 2021.2.27, but plan to upgrade this summer.
What technical level you are with regards to Epicor
I can do some pretty basic things. I create a lot of BAQs and Dashboards. I’ve tried some BPMs and those have worked thus far, but due to other responsibilities I can’t find much time to delve into other things.
Anything else you might think is interesting:
I really appreciate this site and everyone who has input on the issues I try to resolve. Much appreciated.
Hey, somebody else from NY state!
I got company names mixed up so I thought we purchased chain from your company at first, but it was www.peerchain.com actually.

Seal & Design - We manufacture gaskets, seals, o-rings, and a variety of other things for multiple industries.
What you do at your company
I am a software/web developer, and actually spend the majority of my day outside of Epicor, interacting with it via SQL & the REST api. I create various tools for our manufacturing floor, as well as different tools and reports for office workers. We also have some external customer/vendor facing portals that interact with Epicor.
Epicor Version
110.2.700.28 on prem, starting to slowly put together an upgrade plan for kinetic.
What technical level you are with regards to Epicor
I have created my fair amount of BPMs and BAQs, and do a lot of DMT’s. Some things I have a lot of knowledge in (different tables, various esoteric rest endpoints and how they interact with Epicor), while other things like customizations I have very little experience in.

I’ve been at Halo for about a year and this is my first encounter with Epicor. I’m not a IT/Systems person but have been on three SAP implementation teams (Accounting/Operations/Materials mainly) and one JD Edwards implementation. We are supported by Encompass who also were our partner during implementation - next phase is to go-live in Operations (Production) and integrate our MES system into Epicor.

New - as of September 2023.
95% of what I have learned is from this site - and from trial & error.
Bringing 10 yrs of experience as C# dev in telecom industry, for whatever that’s worth - so code functions and BPMs are my go-to … BAQ and Dashboards are a bit weird still, and Application Studio seems like a new struggle every time I open it!

Hi there, I am the former member here Gil_V, now I am Gil_V2 after coming out of retirement on a part-time basis to help out my old firm.
I’ll be active (maybe) in the MRP/Planning sections of the E10 forums.
See you there, perhaps.
Welcome back @Gil_V , I remember you from before! Any help you provide is appreciated.
I assume that version 1 of Gil is better than version 2 and refuse to upgrade until forced to do so.
There’s no need to have two accounts I can merge them Gil
Once upon a time in the whimsical land of EpiUsers, there dwelled a sorcerer of unmatched wisdom and power named @Gil_V . His knowledge spanned the ages, and his magical prowess was the envy of all who practiced the arcane arts. But even mighty sorcerers need a break, so @Gil_V decided to semi-retire, much to the envy of the rest of the magical community.
In his stead, a young well rested? apprentice was chosen, a humble mage who had inherited the essence and wisdom of @Gil_V . As the sorcerer stood in the grand hall of the EpiUsersCouncil, a bolt of cosmic energy enveloped him, and he felt the power of Gil_V infusing every fiber of his being. The transformation was complete; the apprentice had become the new Gil_V!
“Arise a new!, @Gil_V ,” intoned the council elders @moderators, their voices echoing through the hall.
With the old @Gil_V account now enjoying his well-deserved leisure—perhaps sipping a magical elixir on some sunny crystal beach or experimenting with new spells just for fun—the new @Gil_V (2) took up his mantle. To commemorate this seamless transition, the Council performed a rare magical feat: they merged the old account of the wise @Gil_V with the new account of young @Gil_V . As a stroke of their celestial quills, the usernames swapped seamlessly.
The login remained the same, and not a single memory, spell, or enchantment was lost in the process. Confetti made of enchanted parchment rained from the skies, and the hall echoed with jubilant cheers.
“Oho, nothing’s truly changed,” chuckled the elders @moderators , “save for a bit of new blood and a dash of ancient wisdom in a well rested guise.”
And so, with a wave of his rejuvenated wand and a sparkle in his eye, the new Gil_V embarked on his journey filled with humor, magic, and endless intrigue, forever connected to the legacy that came before him.
And from then on, whenever mischief or mysterious happenings needed sorting out, the new Gil_V was there, ready to cast spells and crack jokes in equal measure.
