Confirm that the service account you have setup for the OpenEdge admin service on your main server has the correct privileges on the folder security and the share permissions for the remote server. Also ensure that the account that runs that OpenEdge Admin Service is a domain account.
I am assuming this is pre Epicor 10 though.
