Invalid Site under Part Master

We have 2 Parts in our system that have two sites:

  • The normal “Main Site”
  • A site that has no name

When I try to delete the site that has no name, I receive an error stating there are warehouse definitions for that part which must be deleted first, as shown here:

So, I drill down to the Warehouse level and try to get rid of them from that site:

So, I decide to take a look at Part Transaction History Tracker to see what is going on in there. When I click the dropdown for the sites, it only shows the Main Site.

Okay - Onto the database now:

What can I do in order to remove those 2 invalid records from the system? I am running out of ideas here.

Do a search in parttran for just the parts forget the plant part that should show all part transactions related to the part.

As far as the site name, It is most likely empty in Site Maintenance, that’s why it’s not showing.

There are 2,669 transactions for that Part going back to 2020. But all of those are associated with the proper plant (MfgSys).

We only have 1 site - MfgSys

PartPlant definitely does not look correct there. DF perhaps from Epicor… In the Main Site what are the warehouses? Are we illuding to the fact that the Plant field on PartPlant should be MfgSys?

Do you see any shared warehouses in Site Configuration?

There are no shared warehouses for MfgSys

Not exactly, no. Those 2 parts already have MfgSys plants. They just have these 2 other ‘non existent’ plants.

If you look up the Fisher plant in the Warehse table, do you get any value in the corresponding Plant column?

There’s also a PlantShared table… anything interesting in there?

Nothing in Warehse that shouldn’t be there.

And there are no records at all in PlantShared.

you need to contact support and get a datafix for this issue. There should never be a case where the site field is blank.

I believe that you can actually have a site name that “Appears” to be blank, however it is “space bar”

this is just a guess, but the screenshot shows that the system wants to know if I want to “Add new?”

But that would still cause it to appear in the database though, right?

When I look at the Erp.Plant table, the only thing there is MfgSys (Main Site).
