I have two customers that want to have onhand inventory at all times for them only. They share some parts and share parts with other customers.
They want to see a Safety/Min/Max. Anything they do not use, they will be liable for.
Anyone done something like this? We used to have this for one large customer which was easy because that same large customer had the ISA for their subtier customers, which are our customers. But now the sub-tiers want their own inventory.
Not sure that this totally applies, but you might be able to use some of the concepts in this Consignment Inventory Procedure.pdf document I wrote up back in 2014.
Thanks Tim, I have used your procedure before for consignment specifically. It worked great. We used shared warehouse to ship the items from different plants.
