Invoice/Packing Slip Numbers

If you go under A/R Invoice Shipment Tracker, select Order, and on the Line
Shipment's area on the lower portion of the screen, the PS (Packing Slip
number) is the first item you see. You can then jot down the Invoice number
and are all set for cash receipts. There is usually no reason to have to
look for paper work or worry about making the numbers agree. In addition,
you could go into the Packing Slips, find the PS number from the check stub,
which will lead to the Order, and on the Order line screen it will show the
PS number and the Invoice number on the same line. Let me know if you need

In company configuration you can enter the starting Invoice number under
Accounts Receivable and the starting Packing slip number under Order
Management. Just start with a number that will never repeat a number
you have already used.

We have customers who reference the packing slip # as the invoice number
on
the remittance stub. I just know that i have to dig for the invoice that
way......Because I don't know of a way to make the two numbers agree.

Losing battle,

However, since the invoice form is Crystal, you could insert the
packing slip number as the invoice number on the printed invoice
if the customer insists. You would have to cross-reference
the payment in order to apply it. Not really a big deal.
