Ok, a little on the OCD here, but in BAQ designer you can use the arrow keys to move the selected table around the page to line up the joins. Is there a similar function in the BPM designer?
Nope… those of us that are OCD about alignment just need to get our satisfaction from manually aligning all the boxes and lines using the mouse. Sometimes they become pieces of art!! here is one of my finer works:
Beautiful
FYI… this BPM is a 100% widget BPM that calls FIVE standard Business Objects…
the function is quite amazing too… its function:
Trigger: Check a box on the ECO rev Header to say that you want a “Prototype Job” for your part.
Actions:
- approves and checks in the revision
- uses QuickJob to create a new job for this part/revision, and GETS DETAILS from the new rev.
- Unapproves and Checks the part back out to the ECO Workbench.
- Pops a message (telling you the new job number if i remember right).
It does all this in just a few seconds (as opposed to taking several minutes to do this manually)
You guys are GREAT… I’m on the OCD side myself. CAUTION… never ask Jose Gomez to write a BPM of more than one box… your head will explode. He is the absolute antithesis of OCD in this regard.
Just sayin.
Jose, I love you bro…
What are you talking about @Ernie this is beautiful like a Picasso piece
Agreed Jose,
The important thing is if the BPM works, but I do tend to take more time than I probably should making it look “pretty”
bahaha @josecgomez that is the most amazing BPM I have seen to date.
In typical Jose fashion, this particular BPM probably fixes spelling errors in Part Descriptions, creates a single-checkbox solution for approving labor and expenses, automates the entire transfer order process, and does the dishes.
I bet all his look like this
This was great. Thanks for the laugh. haha
I’m sold. Write me up a SOW.
We should make T-shirts out of those BPM designs!
Nah. Easy ones like that he has his daughter do (she’s just over a year old).
I think you’re right! If you look closely at Jose’s picture, you’ll notice most of the boxes have the thin red (not configured) border and only the Execute Custom Code does not.
THAT should be available for Insights!
I’ll buy one right now!
