Is there anywhere in the Vantage DB (8.03) that tells me the date a job was
"created" in the system?

want to create a shop load report to show jobs created and scheduled
to start in the same month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see date that it was actually added but if you Released it the same
day as added then you have your audit log which creates a date.

Depending on what version of Vantage you have you can also go to the
Business Activity Manager (under the Utilities folder in version 6.0) and
have it track the job number. Then you can look under the Change Log button
in the job header and it will give you the date. I don't think earlier
versions were as customizable.

When we started on 4.0 we created a user defined date field and when a job is created they enter the date there.

Since going to 5.20 I've activated Change Logging for the JobNum field and this seems to capture that but I've not tried linking to the change log since I think this will change a bit when we go to 6.0 and get Business Activity Manager. But I'm pretty sure it can be gotten from the Change Log - just not sure what affect on performance there might be if there aren't good keys to link with.

What version? The "Change Log" (or whatever it is called in whichever version) should be able to capture the record creation date. Since we needed it long before that was available we created a user defined field and populate that.
