Hello all! We had recently upgraded from version 23.1 to 24.2 a couple months back. Went fully Kinetic with the upgrade. Hate to say it, but this version has had a ton of bugs and I’ve created numerous tickets with support on these issues. I’ve had an issue with development only trying to push these updates for the latest 2025 version and having to push back asking for an update in our current version. Also, once we apply the update, it seems like it will fix some of the issues, but then cause new ones. Is there not enough testing being done with the latest updates? Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? What is Epicor’s stance on getting version 24.2 bugs fixed? We’re on prem and probably won’t be going to version 25 until next year.
Welcome to the Party. A lot of the 2024.2 bugs would have already been identified so there should be either hot fixes available or will be fixed in a version upgrade of 2024.2 or 2025.1/.2.
Have a search around here to see if your issues have been discussed previously, we are a friendly bunch. I would certainly recommend raising tickets with support though for all issues so your name can be added to the pile.
As for testing, some of us on here are involved with the Controlled Release programme that EPICOR has and we do a lot of User Testing in there but inevitably things will get missed and sometimes things are not picked up until the software goes to GA.
Yep, I’ve been creating tickets since we went live for all of the bugs we found. Definitely a party, haha!
