Aaron,
I was able to sample the AMM last summer. Report quantity is a
function only in the AMM module. It allows employees to remain logged
into (start activity) a particular operation and report quantities.
When the employee is done for the day or has completed the opetaion
and 'Ends Activity' The data collection screen will display the total
quantity that has been entered since the activity was started. So
when entering a current quantity on the End Activity page. The total
quantity actually does something useful. Without AMM the total
quantity always equals the current quantity.
Jeff Larson can get you a 30 day trial. I strongly recommend it if
you have a backup server to test pilot the AMM module. Its a tough
module to startup
