Launch option on 'app-open' event to open serial tracker form

Hello,

I created new event ‘OnClick’ serial number to open using ‘app-open’ event and listed launch options passing ‘Serial number, Part number and status’. But it isn’t opening serial number form. It opens standard serial tracker form (details one - listed all serial numbers). Please let me know what parameters to pass on ‘options’. Any help grately appreciated.

Note: On message handler, I got serial and part number correctly. So I passed those info to options.

Its opening what you told it to open here:

If that’s what you want it to open, but it’s giving landing page and not advancing to Details form, then show your debug window (F12 then Ctrl + Alt + 8) and we’ll see if your values are being passed.

What version are you on?

I tried doing this on 2025.1 and couldn’t get it to work, but realized that even Epicor doesn’t do this any more. Instead they build a separate Serial Number Selection slide out page in each application that has that functionality.

Not saying that it ultimately couldn’t be done, but you do run the risk of Epicor doing away with that application and breaking your customization.

Can you add Serial Number Select to custom app?

Anyone know if it’s possible to open the Erp.UI.SelectSerialNumbersEntry form in a custom app as a slideout? I’ve got a button created and can get the app to open in a slide out, but so far no luck passing values in (I get an error message and there’s no part info loaded). Before I go down a rabbit hole to only find out this isn’t even possible since it’s serial numbers, thought I’d ask the experts. [image] [image] [image]
