We use average cost method. I have a job that is make to order. The only thing on the job is a single operation (INSTALLATION LABOR). I complete that operation. I ship it and invoice it. My job cost is the labor rate * the hours on the operation. On the Production Detail, the Estimated cost and Actual cost match what I would expect. However, on the cost associated with that job in Part Transaction History is showing as the average cost of the part number. Why? The transaction cost used to pull from the job cost, not the average cost in the system. Am I missing something? Anything I should check?

Have you checked the calculation yourself, value of stock and qty and new receipt cost and quantity
So I learned a lesson. I needed to be running my Inv/Wip Reconciliation and Capture WIP costs. I didn’t realize that was something I needed to do. After I did that the costs looked appropriate.
