I understand that the Epicor will select parts to be cycle counted based on the defined schedule, the ABC code and the parts last cycle count date.
However, we have some warehouses that have a manageable number of parts and would like them not to spread out as much as the system is spreading them out between cycles, i.e. 1 or 2 parts per day.
Basically, we want to tell the Epicor we want 20 parts per each ABC code every day.
The issue we are running into is that the system doesn’t grab everything in the warehouse since it’s not technically ready for count (since we ran the initialize last cycle count process when we started using the Epicors cycle count process).
Is there any way to count everything in a warehouse at once even if it’s not ‘due’ to be counted? Or grab bigger chunks of parts than what the Epicor is suggesting?
I can only think of selecting a large range of dates to try and capture everything in the warehouse, but then that will create a ton of cycle periods that we will need to go in and out of (not ideal).
We could also use the PCID part selection and just dump the qty of parts we want per ABC in the warehouse but are trying to get away from as much manual input as possible.
Thoughts? Solutions? Is it possible?
Thanks!
