When a job closes, any remaining cost on the job will create a manufacturing variance. The problem we are discovering is that all five elements (material, labor, burden, material burden, and subcontract) are booking to one account. We want all of the elements to separate out to different GL accounts.
We have been told the only way for this to occur is to have the posting rule modified. Has anyone figured out a way to split out the elements without modifying the posting rules? If not, please advise, if aware of a Epicor or non-Epicor consultant that is familiar with modifying posting rules?
