Good Morning,
I am working with a company that is looking to go live on E9. One issue
that has arisen has been the desire to break out the cost for a given
job and send portions of the overall cost to different GL accounts. My
company has a number of cost centers (identified via divisions in
Epicor) and a given job contains a number of cost elements that need to
go to different accounts. Since product group drives all cost to a
single account, standard functionality does not do the trick. The
option is out there to write a report to support journal entries, but
our consultant has suggested modifying the posing rules so that the cost
elements go directly to the desired accounts. The problem with this is
the apparent lack of technical documentation or expertise regarding
Epicors' posting rules. Has anyone tried to modify the posting rules,
and if so how did it go?
