(1) delete removes entire operation - but actually need to set material operation linkage to "0" because you cant delete ops with materials associated to them
(2) operation master must be editted to remove extra scheduled resources before reload
i've been having a tough time trying to use the DMT to remove a large group of unnecessary scheduled reources from part MOMs.
I know how to reference the PartOpDtl headings to add/chg the scheduled reources info..
ECOOpDtl#PartNum,
ECOOpDtl#Company,
ECOOpDtl#GroupID,
ECOOpDtl#RevisionNum,
ECOOpDtl#OprSeq,
ECOOpDtl#OpDtlSeq
but my objective is to DELETE the scheduled resources.
And in the DELETE MODE the DMT refuses to take action unless the operation headings are referenced ..
Company,
GroupID,
PartNum,
RevisionNum,
OprSeq
in which case, the DMT then deletes the OPERATION.
could you spell out what you are trying to accomplish a bit more? if i interpret your language literally, there is no association with scheduled resources and the eco tables, which in essence are really temporary housings for mom's while they are being changed/modified. info for scheduled resources related to operations (i.e. jobs) are kept elsewhere..

Anyone tackled this issue before? (V8.03)

Our MOMs were created with a little more detail than we're willing to endure or support. Case in point, we have several scheduled resources on every operation of every part MOM - for machines, employees, tools etc. Needless to say, job scheduling is difficult. So we're come up with the plan to REDUCE the number of SCHEDULED RESOURCES on all operations to the base minimum (machine). To xeecute the plan we created a BAQ export of operations and the scheduled resources, exported it to excel, editted it, and now wish to use that list - (22,000+ entries) - TO DELETE THE UNWANTED SCHEDULED RESOURCES - using the DMT tool and the delete option.
But cant get the DMT to delete the SCHEDULED RESOURCES (that we want to remore) without ALSO deleting the opertions (that we DONT want to remove).
Do you have maybe another option/method you could share?
that would be great
thanks

If you have the data exported, can you create 2 DMT files? - One to delete everything and the other to re create what you want to keep...

I would say yes, I have created 2 separate spreasheets with Data to be modified and then Data to be deleted. Just remember that the Data you are deleting may be linked in other tables so you could have a lot of clean up a head of you. I was working on one table and had to clean up 6 others before my data would delete.
