We are doing upgrade testing to 2024.1 and someone noticed a change in the behavior of the search.
In 2023.1.9 you can just put in a number, and the search defaults to invoice number, even if you don’t select anything in sort by field.
Now, if you don’t pick something, it’s trying to pass in a string with leading spaces. If you pick invoice number, it works fine (so it’s a small nit picky thing). However we anticipate users complaining about it.
Executing GetShipments from Classic and Kinetic calls 2 different methods.
Classic: ARInvoice.GetShipments
Kinetic: ARInvoice.GetShipmentsConsolidatedPS
I spent too much time pulling hair before I noticed this.
I do too much development to spend my time hoping a Kinetic screen will either work as intended, or even be made yet for my purposes.
Short of having both types open at once to get stuff done, classic is still 10x more reliable than kinetic, baring silly (unexpected, unannounced) changes like these.
OMG that is so dang aggressive. It REALLY wants to be my default PDF viewer and I can’t understand WHY!!! Any time I download a PDF it makes itself the default PDF viewer, and I cannot figure out how to stop if from doing that!
Yep, we’re going to have to rewrite a bunch of BPMs because of this. I might even have 2 sets of BPMs going for the couple years or so that we expect to be half classic half browser…
