Yes, we are using Symantec's email filtering too. But I have turned off all notices, internal and external. Does not seem to make sense to generate an informational message internally just to say some spam was deleted and I really don't want to tell the sender (spammers) anything at all. Just clogs up the Internet with all the messages going back and forth. Symantec's subject phrase filtering is pretty nice. Has cut my SpamBayes Junk folder traffic in half (and SpamBayes catches well over 99% of junk anyway). I have about 1,000 keyword phrases in Syamentec's subject list. Only hitch, as noted, is turning off notices should be the default setting.
I think the slow delivery is just a sporadic Yahoo thing and was a coincidence. But twice last week the delay was 12 hours.

What we have here is two total separate issues.
Issue one (Symantec Mail Security) enabled and rejecting mail at
electronenergy's mail server. They are the ones I called and informed
about their issue.
Issue two, slow mail at Yahoo. It was in fact slow the other day. It
took something like 4 hours for my post to hit the group.
They only seemed related as they were overlapping in time.
I hope by now electronenergy has their mail filter fixed. As for Yahoo,
we can hope it will be a good day.
