MRP Processor Error

There is something wrong with the Part.  Likely it is a Manufactured part.

 

Check that all plants have a PartRev record.

 

Mfgsys must have a partrev record and then all other Plants must have an Alt Method.

 

Check that the method for that plant is good.  Resources, operations.

 

If using Alt Methods, make sure that you have the correct Primary Alt Method.

 

Did you just upg to 702?

 

At the end of the MRP Process 4 log, you probably have an error like this::

 

15:14:16 Copying BOM from Part:50-70911-000 Rev:B to Job:UF000000001131.

 

That will be at the end of the log.  You should be able to tell by the size of the file you are looking at.

 

From the Main MRP Log:

 

4:48:20 Scheduling Jobs...

14:48:20 Building PartList Level: 0

14:53:41 Building PartList Level: 1

15:06:40 Building PartList Level: 2

16:14:21 Process 6 not responding.  Abandoned during process 'Processing Part~50-70911-000'

16:18:57 Building PartList Level: 4

16:19:31 Building PartList Level: 5

 

It takes 1 hour before that processor times out, but all the other parts are re-routed to the other processors.

Can anyone tell me if when an error like this happens, do all unprocessed parts get routed to the other three processors, or do some parts fail to get processed because the one processor stops running?

Its been my experience that all unprocessed parts just stop they do not get rerouted
