Has anyone ever done/experimented with adding a process set to another process set? Or creating a process set where all the tasks are other process sets? And then scheduling only the uppermost set.
Nope, looks like it doesn’t like that. Both process sets errored out.
I also don’t like that System Monitor then doesn’t show you the individual tasks within each “sub” process set.
Bummer. I was hoping we’d be able to do this. Our DB is ~ 300 gigs, and I’d like to purge the non-production environments as much as we can. Epicor errors our when we try to purge cut-offs that cause the process to run longer than a few hours, so I’ve created a process set for monthly cut-offs (man that was tedious!).
Would we be able to make our own process set scheduler with a BPM? Create user codes to store the sequence of process sets, and then when the first one runs, a BPM would fire when it finishes, and then run the next process set. And keep going until there are no more… Or maybe an Epicor Ideas to add this functionality? Seems like it’d be easy enough…
