Case CS0003642563. They linked it to PRB0267989, but the reproduction steps section of the prb is wrong. We never really got clear answers and gave up pursuing it.
I experience this too but have never got it accepted as a bug.
According to the case notes FYI we solved this under another case in Kinetic 11.2.200.14, however given your comment the steps are wrong let me know if there are alt steps we should review just in case.
I think they may have conflated our Site-changing issue with a Company-changing issue that someone else had (that’s what the prb references). Communication was terrible on this one and we didn’t have the energy to keep pushing or test the .14 patch, especially because we heard of others like @aosemwengie1 who were already on a later version. I know Support captured a Teams recording of the issue occurring.
I think the current layout is OK the ability to re-size icons would be a nice enhancement though.
One thing I would like is the ability to have a different layout per Company (assuming I haven’t missed something)

I as well as users have seen this before, but never had a reliable way to reproduce so I did nothing with it. I can say we only use Smart Client and it’s possible it’s only a problem in changing on the smart client.

One of the issues with the current Home Page layout is that the Quote and Quote Tracker buttons are linked to the programs under the Customer Relationship Management menu… and not all installations have purchased the CRM module (but DO have the Quote module). It’s very annoying to have to change that…
I’d like to have the ability to display a rendered SSRS report directly on the home page.
i would like to see the option to share (send) and become a member (pull) a certain page. so one colleague creates a great (home) page where he can easily share this page with his/here colleagues. no it or central management involved. even better is there is a ‘fork’ option then. 
Not about the design, but about sharing and reusing.

We have been trying to customise the homepage per company we have and no matter how i have done this, if you are a user in both companies, the layout doesnt change.
The colours section works but the layout does not.
