Yes, because of the layer we created. We first did the customization in 25.2 as we didn’t realize ANYONE could modify the values regardless of their access to Part Entry. As our PILOT had already been upgraded I had to hand-build the same in 25.1 Prod and it doesn’t work the same, the fields remain enabled (white / editable) but changes don’t save.
I can understand confusion after reading this entire post…
- multiple solutions have been presented including making customizations
- I provided the core Epicor solution, which was to security the new planning screens with Menu Security SECPR0460.
As always, there are multiple ways to do things. either way may work, and may be better than the other based on your needs.

Like I said, I just wanted to make sure most of all that it was the way you had intended it.
Now, there may be some Ideas henceforth to come that suggest some alterations…
