Is anyone out there displaying the Vantage screens in something
other than English. I see in ver 5.1 a module for language maintenance.
Some of our company administrators are looking at Vantage for a sister
company in Belgium and I've gotten some mixed signals on the subject from
Epicor. Support says that I have to purchase other languages if I would
like them and sales says I can't purchase them, but must do my own
translations and import them back into Vantage. If anyone has any
experience with this I would appreciate hearing about it.

I have received quotes in the past from Epicor for "Vantage Data Collection
5.0 Spanish", it was $200 per Data Collection License. I do not consider
"must do my own translations" as an option.

You want to talk to Marcroscoop in Holland. These guys do all of the
European implementations, and they can handle all the different languages.
I have dealt with them in the past and they are very professional and great
to deal with. The guy you need is Gard Overdevest, you can reach him by

Sorry to disappoint you BUT there are some other people in Europe doing
Vantage
implementations too. We do implement Vantage in Greece with all Greek
language
done and now in co-operation with our Romanian colleagues we perform the
translation for Romania. Italian language comes next.

Competition is a very good thing! Glad to hear that Epicor's circular or
non-solution answers were not the end of the story and that there are other
solutions available.
