Order Entry screen showing {{strings.XXXX}} in stead of field names

I have a call with an agent today on the issue. Are you using smart client or web browser?

Press ctrl + alt + i and then close the form wait a moment, and re-open.

Both

Doesn’t work. I’ve tried it 100 times.

Chris, when that happens I found that if I go to the cache on the server for the specific form and delete the file in there, it resolves it.

It’s like sometimes ctrl + alt + i fixes it and other times it’s just completely hosed.

Problem is you can’t access the server cache file that’s located here drive\Epicor\Websites\appservername\Server\Apps\MetaUI\Erp.UI.JobEntry (OR YOUR FORM NAME)\cache.… @klincecum

If I could do that I would, Utah. I recommended that when I put the ticket in 11 days ago!!

Do you have a case open so I can reference it alongside mine when I speak to the agent today?

And do you have a case open right now?

Several, but this is the one I’m yelling the loudest in:

CS0003951400

I do

thanks, maybe together we will be heard

Sorry man, I’m just cranky right now. I’ve literally been reporting this for 2 years. It goes away, then comes back, then goes away. Running 191 during work hours isn’t feasible - I can’t ask people in 3 shops to completely shut down and stand there while it runs. There’s got to be a better solution to this.

I also am trying to keep cool, I was not pleasant yesterday with the support agent.

Do you have a test envuironmetn chris that you can help me wiht? Cause the agent is sayign they can’t replicate it but I got it to replicate every time without fail. Can we work together?

I can show you how to replicate and if you can that would probably push this through.

Absolutely! I have multiple test environments - all SaaS if that matters.

Even better if you can replicate it in SaaS

Would you be opposed to doing a teams or no?

Here are the instructions:

Here are the steps to replicate.

Open 3 separate smart client sessions.

Open order entry on all of them and press ctrl + alt + i. Then close order entry on all three sessions.

Then, on each session, have the order entry menu readily accessible so you can launch each one simultaneously, one after another, with no delay.

Then once you are ready, click Order Entry on each session as fast as you can, with no delay.

You should see all three screens start to load and you should get an error.

please let me know if you are able to replicate.

What I am saying @spaceage , you need to have order entry pulled up in a menu search on all three sessions and then rapidly, I mean rapidly, launch one after the other. Like 1-3 seconds apart MAX.

Thank you Utah. Let me try to replicate this and report back.

LMK talking with support now.
