[OT] Excel - Bulk adding of rows after each existing row

Thanks. This certainly looks like it would have handled it too. I just downloaded it and will try it out. I'm always running into little Excel frustrations. Looks like the guy that wrote the add-ins had a few of the same issues already. Best part the the "free" part.

I have tried recording a macro but it only runs once and does not "move down" to the next position to add a row. A macro might work if there was a way to loop it maybe 500 times. Something like:

I have a rather large spreadsheet of operation and work center standards from Vantage compared to our external quoting system. In order to get them to match up I need some working space so I would like to add one blank row after every existing row. Anyone here aware of a "trick" for doing this? I have tried recording a macro but it only runs once and does not "move down" to the next position to add a row. A macro might work if there was a way to loop it maybe 500 times. Something like:
DO{<insert row>, down, down, <select row>} 500 Times

But really I was just hoping there was some keyboard shortcut to select the entire sheet and have it shuffle in a blank row after each existing row. This would save me a LOT of time (and repetitive stress on my fingers!).

You could try this:
insert a blank column A
number the first few rows -- odd numbers only (1,3,5...)and fill to the
end of your list
at the end of your "list", number the blank rows -- even numbers only,
and fill for as many rows as you need to match the quantity of your odd
numbered rows
sort on column A
delete column A
