If you use Outlook 2000, make sure that you update to SR1a. After
the update there is a security update called Out2ksec.exe that you
can install. This will by default disable any executable attachments
in Outlook. There is an admin tool to use with this (download from
Microsoft) that you can specify exact attachment specifications, to
allow or disallow within the filters setup with admin tool and MS
Exchange Server.
If your still using Outlook 97-98 and Exchange Server, upgrade to
Outlook 2000. It's free and a much better product. Exchange Server
required to free upgrade, contact Microsoft for CD mailing. Not
available thru download.
