One of our departments is starting several projects and needs to be
able to track timelines and costs. We are currently on Vantage 5.1
and will be upgrading to Vantage 6.1 sometime next year. Vantage
support has advised me that you are able to track costs for jobs,
orders and tasks but that it is not possible to track timelines or
use Gantt charting unless you use MS Project and import it into
Version 6.1 (Version 5.1 does not have the capability. My question
is, does anyone use something other than MS Project to keep track of
their projects? If you are using MS Project with Version 6.1, does it
work well with the import and what would you suggest.
We would appreciate any information on this topic before we purchase
MS Project for just a select few indivduals to use.
