Out Of Memory Error

No code on these particular dashboards. I am the only one getting the message, but then again I am the only one doing heavy customizations as well. I only seem to get the error when testing configurator code, which there is a lot of. Thanks for all your help and the "New Trick" :D Guess I will call support, I know they did a lot of changes to the configurator this update.

The 1st, 4th and 5th are normal.

I think ( but don't quote me), as long as you have no Visual Basic code or c# code in those screens, it is a bug and you need to work with support to get an SCR written.

A few times, I actually figured out how to reproduce a memory leak, got an SCR written and they fixed the leak.

Do you get an Out of Memory Error if you do not use those dashboards? That is the real question to determine if the leak is what is causing your error.

We upgraded to 702 last week and since then, I have been getting the following error sporadically while testing inputs in the configurator. Sometimes I can continue after clicking OK, sometimes I cant. Any ideas?

You can run the client in 64 bit mode to get around these errors. Just keep
in mind you need to install the 64 bit Crystal runtime and may have to
configure 64 bit odbc if you are running Crystal reports out of menu.

Steve,

Thanks for the response.

Sounds like I need to F-Disk my laptop (~Evil Laugh~). Among other things, the only way to get my laptop to run Epicor is in "XP Compatibility Mode". AND for some reason Crystal 64 hates us and will not run ~ sadness.

How do you set your client to run Epicor in x64 mode?

Thanks

Change the shortcut to use mfgsys64.exe instead of mfgsys.exe.

Have you tried the Memory Leak Tester? I have found customizations that start leaking after an upgrade and the customization need to be redone from scratch? Or, there may be a leak in the a standard 702 screen.

Have you tried the Memory Leak Tester? I have found customizations that start leaking after an upgrade and the customization need to be redone from scratch? Or, there may be a leak in the a standard 702 screen.

Put -MEMORY at the end of target. Looks like this.

"C:\Program Files\Epicor Software\Epicor905\Client\MfgSys.exe" -MEMORY

Then run as administrator. You need to click refresh when you load or close screens.

Awesome, I have 5

Epicor.Mfg.MenuForm Live 54444047
Epicor.Mfg.UI.App.Hum_Sales_Tracker.MainController Live 32547908
Epicor.Mfg.UI.App.HM_Package_Credit.MainController Live 24495719
Epicor.Mfg.UI.App.SysMonitorEntry.Transaction Live 19134881
Epicor.Mfg.UI.App. SysMonitorEntry.SysMonitorForm Hidden 5938035

I re-opened Epicor and hit Refresh I got these. The 2nd and 3rd are Dashboards that I don't use that often, but others use constantly. So why would I be the only one getting the error? (Besides the fact I am obviously a resource hog)

So now I know I have a leak, what could be causing it and how do I fix it? I know I re-compiled the Package_Credit Dashboard because it is updatable and ALL of those had to be re-compiled after the upgrade. The Sales_Tracker is just a pretty graph that shows sales by month.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
The 1st, 4th and 5th are normal.

I think ( but don't quote me), as long as you have no Visual Basic code or c# code in those screens, it is a bug and you need to work with support to get an SCR written.

A few times, I actually figured out how to reproduce a memory leak, got an SCR written and they fixed the leak.

Do you get an Out of Memory Error if you do not use those dashboards? That is the real question to determine if the leak is what is causing your error.

I tried adding the -memory to the end of my target in the shortcut and I get invalid path
