What I forgot to say here was that our process/rules say that credit
management is in the hands of the folks in MI.

Subject: [Vantage] Overriding Customer.CreditHold to Allow Shipment
Overrides
Vantage 8.03.408B SQL.
We have two locations, a central corporate location in MI, and a
branch factory in CA. We're running into problems where the CA office
sometimes wants to be able to ship product to a customer even though
that customer is on credit hold. The GM at that location should be able
to reasonably make that determination.
Customer Shipment Entry appears to have the rule 'if
Customer.CreditHold == True, Do Not Allow Shipment' baked in. I think
in .405 it wasn't (at least it appeared that I had to create a BPM rule
for it), but it definitely is now.
The problem is that the timing of when folks in MI go home and when
the CA folks might want to decide to override a credit hold situation
can be problematic. Now I'm not 100% sure why we don't know a bit more
in advance when these problems might come up so they can be addressed
earlier, but we keep bumping up against this issue and I'm wondering if
there's a technical solution.
Suggestions?
