Part Masters Blank Title 60823

I haven't actually used it for part master entry, but yes, use it to copy from a spreadsheet.

Autohotkey allows you to copy keyboard strokes & mouse moves/clicks. It's a really nice, fairly straight forward program that also has some nice programming capabilities as well.

Basically you'd do something like copy cell A1, alt tab, click new button, click part field, paste, alt tab, copy A2, alt tab, click description field, paste, repeat for whatever other fields, then save, alt tab, hit down arrow and loop it. Now you'd be in B1, and it'd copy all the same things for B row, play with it a bit to see how it works. Use scroll-lock in excel (so down arrow moves the page down instead of the cursor down).

It'd be a slow way to do it, you'd have to put pauses in the script of like .5-1 seconds between alt-tabs and between new parts so it refreshes, or setup the screen in a split screen view so the needed information is visible on both.

It takes some tweaking, play with it, depending on how many parts there are there are better ways.

Good luck!

Ken,

On the AutoHotkey, how do you use that to input the parts. Do you
write a script to copy from a speedsheet?

Thanks for the help everyone.
