Passing value from row to row in BAQ

BAQ's and dashboards will only give you informational data in V8. If you want it to automatically Update the next order release - a BPM would probably be best. If you post a call on Epicor's website (sometimes I have better luck posting the call on their website instead of calling the 800#) you might get lucky and this be a simple enough request for one of their customization people that they would help you write it. (They've done that for me before, it worked, and I learned a few things from a good tech support person who knew how to use their software)

Is it possible to pass a value from one row to the next in a BAQ? I currently have a dashboard that I want to do some rework on. Basically, if we happen to have shipped more parts on an order release I want to apply the difference to the "Open Qty" calculated field on the next release. Thanks!

Drew
No way I know of. It will have to be done in a customization and/or BPM.

Is it possible to pass a value from one row to the next in a BAQ? I currently have a dashboard that I want to do some rework on. Basically, if we happen to have shipped more parts on an order release I want to apply the difference to the "Open Qty" calculated field on the next release. If I could do it in the Dashboard it might save me a lot of time in creating some customization. ..

Thanks!

You can have multiple BAQs on a dashboard. You can create a Crystal report for that dashboard and tie the data from those BAQ's together. So your Crystal would have both files/data available. I think you can do subreports (but I wasn't successfull with that) or you could just tie the BAQ's together for your calculation.

Be careful how you use publish and filter properties as this limits your secondary BAQ file/data to your primary record selection. (i.e. you might only get 1 record per report) If you don't use the publish and filter properties you can tie the files together and get a report for multiple records.
