Paste Insert Into Constant List in BAQ

I just discovered that I can now Paste Insert a list of values from Excel into the Constant List in a BAQ… In 10.2.300 I could not do this… what a way to end the week!

It didn’t used to be a thing. I just now realized it is!

I don’t know what a constant list is?
What are you referring to ?

When you in BAQ and you’re setting criteria. If you select “IN” you can enter a list of constants for “IN” statement. You used to have type them all in manually so that’s pretty cool you paste insert from excel. Good to know b/c I gave up trying that a while ago.

Thank you, I am now educated

THAT is SLICK.

I can’t tell you how many times I am given an Excel list of “things” to either update, check, or otherwise try to find using a BAQ. It always made me cringe when I had to key in 50 or 100 explicit part numbers to build my BAQ. I would always try to find a way to subquery into a list I wanted and use that option instead of the Constant List… but yeah. This is good news.
