I have been looking at using the count entry process instead of quantity
adjustments when processing inventory. The process for selecting parts
to count appears to be based on either ABC codes or warehouse ID(
product class would have been nice) We were a little lax initially when
we created warehouses using a generic warehouse for 3000 parts. Now if I
want to count a part class that contains 50 items( i.e. Cold roll steel)
I have to select each part though a search function one at time ( very
time consuming). I could create a unique warehouse, zero out on hand
balances in the generic warehouse and assign the primary bin to the
unique warehouse for each part class. Wondering if anyone else has
discovered a better solution to the problem? FWIW support said "it's
been streamlined in 9.0"
